The bug was not found when using nvidia or nv driver instead.

Yes, failure is after rebooting. But if you do not reboot it works ok.
How should I use depmod? Just sudo depmod have no effect, X fails to start.
My steps are:
1. X fails to start with nvidia driver.
2. Ctrl+Alt+F1
3. sudo /etc/init.d/kdm stop
4. Editing xorg.conf, nvidia - nv.
5. sudo

Official Nvidia driver v100.14.11 also doesn't work with new
linux-restricted-modules (I didn't test it with other versions that came
before).
I didn't change any files other than xorg.conf.
