[Bug 1799988] Re: Missing wifi and bluetooth after sleep on XPS 9370

2019-10-18 Thread Tim De Pauw
Since the link under #35 is dead, I assume the patch got merged into the kernel at some point? I'm still experiencing this issue with Linux 5.0.0-32-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 2 02:06:48 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux on my XPS 13 9360. I've tried upgrading to the QCA6174 firmware

THe script by @rasch did not help for the issue that I have on my XPS 9360 where the wifi adapter is gone after resuming from sleep. Not sure if it's supposed to. Putting the machine back to sleep and then waking it up again solves things. However, if it's plugged in while I put it to sleep,

S given that this has had a fix committed for just under a year, when can we expect to see it in stable builds? It's the one thing that's keeping me on Tilix. Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.

That one seems to be working like a treat. No errors in `dmesg` and it picks up the device as it should in Hangouts on both Chrome and Chromium. Just to confirm: $ uname -a Linux chowchow 4.13.0-13-generic #14~1719853 SMP Sat Sep 30 23:19:40 CST 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux ** Tags

2017-09-28 Thread Tim De Pauw
Here are my findings with that kernel: - My network connections don't work anymore. Could be a side effect of something else so I'll ignore it. - Chrome and Chromium do pick up the device now. With (offline) Hangouts in Chrome, "Play test sound" doesn't play any audio. Chromium does play it

[Bug 64691] Fan can turn on and off every second

2006-10-08 Thread Tim De Pauw \(ct^\)
Public bug reported: I'm using the latest Kubuntu edgy beta. My MSI S260 laptop was running on battery and the fan would turn on for a second, then off again, then on for a couple of seconds, then off again, etc. It didn't seem normal at all, so I rebooted to Windows, where the problem didn't

Just to clarify, I'm not sure if this happens with the adapter plugged in, and if charging/using the battery has anything to do with it. The fan is pretty quiet, and there's enough ambient noise not to notice. Still, this sort of thing can probably break a fan, so I think it should be fixed before
