The easiest workaround I found is to close it, then right-click the icon
and select "view details". I have no idea what that is supposed to do but
for some reason it opens the software centre on the updates tab, or
something like that.

This is a MAJOR MAJOR usability bug that has existed in Linux for as
long as I remember, however Ubuntu has some settings that make it worse.
If a full-screen game freezes but remains running, there is absolutely
no way to kill it and return to your desktop. The only way out

unusable:
1. Start eclipse.
2. Minimize eclipse.
3. There is now no way to get back to eclipse. It isn't even in the alt-tab
list.
I am using Ubuntu 11.10, and Eclipse 3.7 downloaded from the eclipse

Ok, finally got this to work(ish)! I commented most things out in
/boot/grub/grub.cfg, and the menu finally shows up! When I boot it says

When you go to add a new keyboard layout and select a UK layout, it
