Thanks for the info! Although when i checked for that, i found the
kernel already in proposed. And so i can say too, the kernel version
2.6.31-18-generic on i686 does allow the use of the webcam und usb-

After installing Intrepid-alpha-6, the maximum resolution with 'gnome-
display-properties' is 1024x786.
Resolution with Ubuntu Hardy was 1680x1050.
I could not find a way to change the
I got the same error on Hardy Heron with all updates.
The problem is that the user is added to the sambashare-group, but this takes
first effect after log off/on..
So this should be tested and stated instead of the actual error message.
