It is tempting to upgrade to Ubuntu LTS version 10.04.2 to 10.10 I encounter
several problems.

While I was copying a large file (approx. 300 million) from a USB drive to my
internal drive, the USB connection was suddenly broken.
After several reboot, the USB devices are not recognized by Ubuntu.
