I don't think this covers the issue: 1. I installed VB from the repository (5.0.18 not 5.0.16 available) 2. I installed fresh 3. I installed virtualbox-dkms All three lead to the issue described. So purging and reinstalling would not change the situation. I can do it, wait for the next kernel
