The problem was solved by removing some conflicting packages:
- libavfilter6,
- libopencv-highgui3.1,
and then "apt autoremove".

Randomly during a gnome session windows are blurring. Backgroud image
does not always appear at session opening, it appears after a while. It
happened after upgrade to 14.04 (ubuntu-gnome).

I had the same problem with my Intuos2 tablet and by adding the line:
SUSPEND_MODULES=wacom psmouse
to the file /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules, the problem was solved.

For my point of view, yes. I expect a mouse to be referred as a mouse, for
relative movements (the 'event' device is used for absolute pointing).
The problem appeared after upgrading to 8.10, I expected
'/dev/input/by-id/usb-Tablet_XD-0608-U-mouse' to always point to the same
old mouse, but X was
