It partially works with xawtv. I get a picture, but I can't adjust it and
the program locks up when I try. I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. With
Kopete, I just get squiggly lines. After studying the uvcvideo driver
website, I found that there are different versions of the Quickcam Pro 9000.
Please consider forwarding bugs to Debian so I can also fix them in the
hobbit package there.

I am having the same problem (using the regular 64-bit PC (AMD64)
alternate install CD). Only in my case the encrypted volume is located
on a RAID 1 device. Tried it twice with the same result both times.

I had no problems under hardy (looks like it used gs 8.61), it's
intrepid (gs 8.63) that is giving me trouble. I'm assuming you tested
the attached postscript (Postscript produced by dvips) directly with
ghostscript (as opposed to running the LaTeX example).

Most PostScript printers can print multiple copies by simply defining
NumCopies in the dictionary fed to setpagedevice. Only pstops (called
from cpdftocps, the last filter in the chain in my case) is capable of

since reporting this bug. I am now running Ubuntu 8.04 as a VirtualBox
guest on a Mac OS X host. The problem does not occur there, so I guess

I have the same on my Dell D800 with Intel Pro 2100. I was not able to
get it to work with WPA-PSK. In order to test I created a
wpa_supplicant.conf file and started the wireless network manually. I
indeed got the same error messages as you get:

gnome-terminal not to close when the shell exits. I didn't see anything
for a while, then just a couple days ago I had a shell just go dead on

firestarter crashed with SIGSEGV in
confirm here. I tested with previous kernel (2.6.24-7) but the error
seems in wine. :(
Using the command learnt with the guys before:

Good question, I don't know (unfortunately the .xsession-errors from the
session where it died is gone). It never occurred to me to check since
I've always assumed it was some tricky job control race in bash. I will
check next time and post here.

Intermittently, launching emacs in

Very rarely (once a month or so), I will launch emacs with emacs
filename , and not only will emacs not appear, gnome-terminal will
close as well, presumably because bash exited. Normally it works fine,
it is just on rare occasions that this happens. Since I've never seen
I think that Xsession terminated before 10 seconds is other problem.
Here , gdm start normally and I can use the desktop. the only problem
is that something at undergroud was crashed.
I was thinking and I see ,maybe, the origin the bug is that klauncher
dont work well with applications removed.

still failling here
initiallly the boot process at segment fault. After try CTRL_ALT_DEL ,
the computer should restart but it continues the boot process and diplay
gdm login screen.

For me too. After Kernel update ( 2.6.22 to 2.6.24) the wireless failed.
I think that some file is missing ( ath_hal ???)
