The idea of this patch is to DISABLE avahi when it won't work properly.

The problem is that (probably since I have a static IP address),
/etc/network/if-up.d/avahi-daemon is executed before /etc/dbus-1/event.d

is running, and creates the DISABLE_TAG before trying to stop the
daemon.

had actually begun to start before DISABLE_TAG was created, but has not

I think I must have messed something up when trying to use the CVS
snapshot.
./configure looks like it works well.
but make gives an error. s far as I can understand this is the relevant
part of the output:

I can report the same problem happend for me with Knot3-alternate-i386.
When I burned the ISO I had k3b check it, and no errors were reported, but when
trying to install I get the error that the python2.4-minimal and python2.4
packages are corrupt and the installation aborts.

Fixed, the config folder for openoffice in my home dir had the wrong
permission, a delete of the folder ~/.openoffice.org2/ fixed the problem
