This bug seems to be affecting me, specifically a UE Megaboom (device
info below). Pairs fine, but doesn't show up in output devices,
therefore audio continues to play via internal speakers.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.10 with Gnome 3.20.4 on a Dell XPS 13 (9350).
Attached are some log files using 'grep
Hi Adi,
1)
We have met a similar problem when we build 3.16 kernel like your C#1822, and
there goes a solution by Johnny.
You have to modify scripts/package/builddeb in linux kernel source as something
like:
...
ppc*)
debarch=$(grep -q CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN=y $KCONFIG_CONFIG echo
we emulate this kind of behavior if we just update the kernel from
14.10?

Ubuntu 15.04 Install Error with Avago Controller
Hi Chris,
Sorry for the late replay.
We did install the kernel 3.19.0.22 in Ubuntu 14.10, and the OS is not able to
boot up anymore.
Please check the messages as below, thanks!

One more note: it seems pcbnew (Kicad PCB editor) crashes only with PCB

I have the same problem in Lucid (all updates applied): Quadrapassel
gives 100% CPU usage while playing with very slow reaction on user
actions (game unplayable). The problem appears with any theme.

Sorry for being ambigous, by screen saver idle I meant screen saver
not active. The re-writes occur quite regularly around every half an
hour. The screen saver settings were not changed since the system was
started so this is not the case. I'll try to reproduce in Lucid when I
install it.

The PPA version fixed the main problem, however it seems that a smaller problem
remains: if drive spin down timeout is 30minutes (or above I suppose) the drive
never spins down. Drive is polled while being spinning and it resets the
timeout and prevents it from spinning down.

Yes, it is reproducible. Just start inotifywait -r -m /home/ | grep screen
and wait for 10 minutes or so. I get something like:
/home/xxx/.gconf/apps/gnome-screensaver/ CREATE %gconf.xml.new
/home/xxx/.gconf/apps/gnome-screensaver/ OPEN %gconf.xml.new
/home/xxx/.gconf/apps/gnome-screensaver/
Programs that write their logs are not a problem, you just have to mount
/var/log on tmpfs, and on a bare Ubuntu desktop I've found only two
programs writing to the home directory when idle.

DFSee seems to have originated as an OS/2 partition management utility so
there's no wonder it simulates OS/2 UHPFS.DLL/UJFS.DLL behaviour. I've made

blkid detects a JFS partition as FAT32. Thus fsck fails on this partition

Studying lib/blkid/probe.c: the problem occurs because the JFS partition
matches the type_array[] entry:

The problem can be fixed by moving JFS-related entry before this VFAT entry.

I don't know why /var/log/apt gets missing in your particular case. The
most common reason is using tmpfs for /var/log which is a usual practice
for SSD-based systems. Since SSD-based systems get more and more common
