I think whatever the outcome the documentation of Ubuntu's LXC support,

You know I wish I can figure out (under Unity) how better to capture some of
this. Unfortunately, things I used to be able to do in previous ubuntu
under gnome 2 don't seem to be so easy now under Unity.
Explaining it in words is almost as much as I can do.
1) I start VLC
2) VLC displays
its not consistent.
If I start VLC then select to add files I can add one or more .mp3 or
.mpg files to VLC's play list.
Sometimes it just gets stuck at the play list with no way to get back to

I too would like to see this seg fault problem fixed. Its been there for
several years now and
still shows up on Ubuntu 10.10 rdesktop.
Using a java rdp client on the very same machine works but it lacks some
of the useful options of rdesktop.
Anyway the java client works and rdesktop fails
I've done that. (use sudo to register the nodes).. the NC does not register
correctly..

it is still affecting 10.10 ... at least on my machine but not as bad as on
10.04.
On 10.04 its gotten better as it fails to boot less often BUT again on 10.04
with th .17 kernel it ALWAYS boots.

First, as I'd said in the bug report... its a hit or miss whether the newer
kernels (post -17) boot completely or not.
This morning... the very same *2.6.32-24* kernel booted right up first
time? Last night I tried a dozen times both cold and warm boot and it
would never get to login screen
Update... and tonite I rebooted same machine and -24 fails but again -17
boots right up

There's no complicated work here to prove the Advanced Format used by the
WD drives don't work.
Install the drive into a machine and try to install from an Ubuntu CD...
install eventually works but there are constant disk busy/time-out retry
errors occurring.

Sorry but I don't have either of those drives any longer as I couldn't log
in to them once Ubuntu was installed. After
the 1st one was exhibiting drive errors I returned it thinking it was bad.
But the replacement was the same model
and it exhibited exactly the same disk errors.
