oh, my bad. i didn't realize it was an X app. maybe i should read the
descriptions of the apps a bit better before i download them and try to

After downloading RecordMyDesktop from the gnome software center, it
fails to even open. And I got two crash reports back to back after
installing it. Then I removed the software, reinstalled to no avail, it
still doesn't open.

far. I don't believe the radeon driver was working before either, I
remember having a similar problem when I upgraded to 15.10.

I was able to get this to work on my new t440s.
I'm using kernel version 3.16.0-24-generic
I cloned from github and did the sudo make install from #184.
Lastly, I did:
sudo modprobe r8192ee
and that seemed to do the trick because it wasnt working before that
despite a restart.

Well, that was short lived. I restarted my computer and now it has the
same wifi issues as before.. connects for a second and then disconnects.

In my environment, I wanted users to authenticate with thick clients
using their LDAP binding credentials.

Hmm... I see, the Unity Panel allows the User to enable the gnome screen
lock, which is not using SSSD (even though I have it installed) so it
just hangs in a loop when trying to unlock the screen.
Also the keyring seems to have the same problem, generating hundreds of
thousands of keyring.temp
I've noticed some errors that may be related inside the ~/.Xsession-
errors file:

I think the issue here is that since users on the Terminal server are

Desktop virtualization software as well.
This is running Ubuntu 13.10 with latest updates in full screen on a
Apple MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.1 and Parallels Desktop 9.0.24172

back and revive the session all though it's hardly ideal.
I will happily run the apport-collect on the existing install. Its a fully

I was also experiencing this problem, I think I solved it on my system
by adding -Dsun.java2d.xrender=true. I tried to duplicate the issue
several times after adding this command but was unable to get it to
surface again. Hopefully this works for someone else.

Issue is occurring on an old platform, even with 'simple' commands like
svn --help, svn--version:
cat /proc/cpuinfo gives CPU Family 15 model 2 Mobile Intel (R)
Pentium(R) 4 (ie this problem is occuring on a 32 bit system).

I have the same problem on an Ubuntu Triple EEE PC netbook. By running
xandr using the command shown in the third message of this thread, I was
able to get a resolution of sorts:
xrandr --output LVDS --auto --output VGA1 --auto --same-as LVDS --rotate
normal
However the interface is not working
Correction: I can now see the menu options for applications. But I still
have the mirroring issue.

After 20 mins or so of use the mouse pointer continues to move however
the click out of the current window never seems to register. This leaves
the current app in focus. I also can't use the keyboard to change focus.
The interesting thing is some apps seem to keep responding
