couple of years without any hiss problems. A few days ago I started
getting a pretty bad hiss thru headphones. Tried various headphones -

If I use the hotkeys (Fn + up/down) I only get 4 steps.
If I use the "Power Manager Brightness Applet" there are 8 brightness
levels. However it takes 100 clicks on the + and - buttons to get from

Actually you can login. But it seems that the font/text is 'invisible.'
Try blindly logging in. Type in your user name and return. Type in
password and return. You should see the cursor move down several lines
as you login.

With a powerbook g4 I've had the same problem for the last several
kernels and is still a problem with 2.6.24-7-powerpc.
I've discovered that the powerpc-smp image does not have the problem,
audio plays fine. I have been using vmlinux-2.6.22-14-powerpc-smp with
no audio problems.

BTW this has been happening for some time now and I've have gone through
several updates of gtk-2.0 since I noticed it. As far as I can recall
however it wasn't a problem when I initually installed Gutsy.

The dates are correct in a nautilus window as well the file property
window. The dates are also correct in a terminal listing.
I have a similar problem. I have had Edgy running for almost 1 year now,
with only minor hiccups.
However, I opted last week to download the Feisty upgrade and now cannot
boot up - I can only run off the Edgy 6.10 Live CD to access the web
etc.
I also get the "tty" problem

Binary package hint: initramfs-tools
I'm using an up to date installation of gutsy on a powerpc. The ide drivers
are not being loaded at boot with the 2.6.22 kernels, both powerpc and
powerpc-smp.
This is not a problem with the 2.6.20 kernel that is still installed
from Fei
omplete booting at this point maybe you have additional problems
that are confusing the issue.

I think a lot of us have NM installed, whether or not we need or want it
installed because ubuntu-desktop depends on it. This problem becomes more and
more annoying as more programs check dbus for the network status as set by NM.
A quick solution would be to have a script in /etc/network/if-
/trunk/src/ and it looks like that
function gtk_html_print has recently been removed.
Should libgtkhtml3.8 be reverted to a earlier version if this version of
Gnucash is going to be used or is the ball in Gnucash's court?
