Same problem here. uname -a says: 3.2.0-21-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 30 04:25:35 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Putting the following line into /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf helped for me: options drm_kms_helper poll=N But I think this should not be the final way. Cheers, Holger

Beside this is nearly outdated, I want to add, that this behavior is reproducible on 64bit versions (for me: only!). The card is found correctly, but on first access to card's interfaces the module crashes with an oops. For locking you just have to reject the card... On new kernel version

Public bug reported: I'm looking for pand on Ubuntu 8.10 (64bit) Beta. If I call it an info message appears which introduces me to install bluez-utils package, but this is still installed. The pand man page also exists. So what's going on? I still trying to get a PAN connection to my XDA Orbit
