The bug is still present in TB 91.0.3 (I am not talking of external
GnuPG here). The only difference, compared to comment #31, is the
contents of the dialog box. It now says "Error - decryption failed"
instead of "null / undefined".

Could somebody please tell if this is working in the current beta?
I usually avoid beta versions, but this one might be an exception since
this function is extremely important to us. However, I'd rather not
install a beta version to learn that it's not fixed yet :-)

Same issue with Ideapad 720s tested with the latest Ubuntu 19.10. I
don't get flashing on boot, but when the computer wakes up from sleep
mode it starts flashing and after 1 min or 2 the computer hangs.

I am able to reproduce this bug every single time I suspend and then
resume one of my laptops. Which is running xubun tu 15.10 with
4.2.0-16-generic kernel on a lenovo R400. I suspect possible a hardware
problem as this only happens on 1 out of 3 R400 that I have. I'll report
back if I remember.

It seems that the bug is fixed in the kernel 3.16. For me, it works

Why is the button subdued? I just upgraded using Update/Upgrade button
in Synaptic. I didn't notice if Evolution was in there, but I do know
new kernel was installed. Today when opening Evolution to check mail, i
noticed it.

Hello,
Although I had not written, those were exactly the steps I made to fix
the problem.
I am now testing the latest 9.04 beta to see if it already works.
From what I read, the Toshiba IDE controller is somewhat specific so
some applications do not capture the correct ide settings, including
resume booting executing on the shell:
modprobe ide-generic
^D
sudo lspci -vnvn:
00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Toshiba America Info Systems CPU to PCI bridge
[1179:0601] (rev a0)
Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems Satellite Pro [1179:0001]
Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle
device is specified by UUID doesn't this mean no effort will be
made to load generic-ide by default?
