[Bug 1242255] [NEW] Desktop Action causes excessive busy cursor if not invoking new window

Public bug reported: [Ubuntu 13.10] Due to the implemented fix at bug #1179155, pressing a Desktop Action in a menu item’s context menu will cause a ~15 second busy cursor if the Desktop Action does not invoke a new window. E.g. this works fine: [Desktop Action NewWindow] Name=New Window

[Bug 1087140] Re: Audio through Wine momentarially drops out

These issues seem to have been largely resolved by installing the affected programs into a new Wine bottle; the original bottle had been generated circa Ubuntu 9.10. Thank you -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.

Additionally, I’ve determined that another long‐standing problem is likely related to the above issue: I hear soft crackling and popping through analogue headphone output and HDMI output to amp/speakers and amp/headphones via Wine applications (such as those mentioned above). Possibly related:

2010-05-28 Thread jacobbrett
I installed Karmic 64-bit, then upgraded to Lucid 64-bit. Since then, I decided to move my /usr to a separate partition, which I did successfully. Now I'm getting the message error: file not found on startup, although Ubuntu still boots. Could this be due to upgrade, or moving the /usr directory
