I tried to upgrade from Hardy to intrepid ibex and xorg fails to load. A
gui pops up showing the error message "(EE) module ABI major version (0)
doesn't match the server's version (1) (EE) Failed to load module "dri"
(module requirement mismatch, 0)" and offers to reconfigure
bug 194984 appears to be different - in that bug, there is no connection
and update-manager consumes resources. The other bug (this one) is that
in "download but not install" mode if it checks for updates and say
finds that 4 updates are available but is only able to download 1 by the
time the lapt
