This has just happened to me. For some reason, all my machines had
machine='pc-i440fx-wily'.
After an update in yakkety, they stopped working.
$ qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -machine help | grep wily
So I updated the machine xml to a supported machine as Charles
suggested, and they work

outside of the snap.

Not able to rate/review snaps

The following verification is required before landing into Xenial:
go plugin:
- Build a snap with the snapcraft.yaml in the same branch as the source.
- Build a snap with the snapcraft.yaml in a different branch, pulling the
source.
- Build a snap without go-importpath, check the warning
After the latest update this issue seems to have been fixed. Probably OK
to close this now. Thanks.

Cannot switch to file manager
Tested in an up-to-date xenial:
- enabled -proposed
- update snapcraft-parser to 2.12
- snapcraft search curl <- it fails with a nice error asking for update
- snapcraft update
- snapcraft search curl <- it works
- snapcraft search cu <- it works, returns curl
- snapcraft search culr <- it works,
There is nothing to verify in xenial-proposed, so I'm marking this as
verified.

We can get back the unit tests, if you feel strongly about it. However
we have an integration suite, and it's purpose is to exercise snapcraft
and all its dependencies. IMO, if we fail to catch a regression in one
of the depenencies, that means that we are missing an integration test,
not a unit
