I get very similar behaviour. This is on a fresh install of 10.04
64bit. After a couple of switches between user A and B I just get a
black screen after clicking on the switcher. Expect to get the password
prompt but sit there waiting until I get bored. Have to kill the

finally upgraded. Audacity on 10.04 export to 11025 hz tested and works
fine.

The 3d transitions are still not fixed. Is there any way of getting
this working? Will this be fixed and working in 10.04 release? Is
there any alternative presentation software that makes use of a modern
computers 3d capabilities?

Given that these transitions will give the same (or better) wow factor
to a presentation that an audience gets from keynote running on OSX, and
that seeing Ubuntu running presentation is a good way of exposing people
to Ubuntu, I'd argue that it's a real shame this is not working! People

In 8.04 the option for 11025 no longer exists, neatly sidestepping the
issue. Haven't tried 8.10 alpha.

Audacity crashes when exporting 11025 Hz
I did search for existing bugs but didn't find it. Have now re-installed the
package and Impress no longer crashes. however the 3d transitions do not work
either - so this is only a partial fix.
What's the id of existing bug?

OpenGL rendered transitions extension crashes Impress
There have been some recent updates to openoffice. I re-installed the
openoffice.org-ogltrans package and now Impress does not crash when I
apply the 3d transitions, but it does not execute the transitions
either!

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: audacity
Using Edgy 64-bit, open an MP3 in Audacity at 16000 Hz, change Project
rate to 11025 Hz. Export runs for a few seconds then Audacity crashes.
Does not happen when using a different project rate (eg 22050 Hz).
