I made some tests today and don't think that this is a kernel bug.
If I use the keyboard (funktion key combination fn+suspend) to suspend
to ram the touchpad works fine after waking up again. Suspend to ram by
closing the lid leads to the described erratic behaviour.

After a fresh install of Maverick and redmine and using the right
command from README.Debian I get the same result:

This seems to be an issue with encrypted home directories. I added
session requiredpam_env.so
at the end of /etc/pam.d/common-session and now ~/.pam_environment gets
read. On another system without encrypted home directories (also 10.04)

I'm a big fan of linux and I hate windows more than sin, so yeah. I
have a Compaq F700 with these problems previously described, and I've
downloaded all updates and no bug fixes so far... so right now I'm
running an older version (8.04) so when the bug fix makes it into

With a new installed Kubuntu 8.10, jockey-kde doesn't detect my Ati Radeon
Mobile 9600 as needing for the restricted driver.
I also tried with Envy-ng, but same problem: the Ati driver 8.543-0ubuntu4 is
listed as NOT compatible.

I've two pc, the first one (an Acer notebook) got a fresh install, and
it's working fine. I did an upgrade from Edgy to Feisty on my desktop,
and I've this usb problem.

I use a Kyocera FS-1000+ with print server (jet direct). Using the
recommended pxlmono driver there is only one copy printed regardless
which number of copies I choosed (tested with gedit and openoffice).
With the ljet4 driver everything exept the page margins works fine.

Network-admin began to crash at the startup after I've added an host. Removing
manually the relative line in /etc/host made network-admin to start again.

There is no category all in the dialog which follows the To button.
I had to give categories to my contacts first before I could use them in
that dialog.
