Got a new computer, no OS yet, wrote ubuntu-14.04.1-server-amd64.iso to an USB
stick, booted and installed.
However, a reboot brings me to the Asus UEFI EZ BIOS screen. The Ubuntu system
is unbootable.
This was on a 4TB disk, so a GPT partition table was necessary, and was
bug still persists on 3.13.0-43-generic
with help of ask ubuntu site, I could make ubuntu detect my bluetooth
adapter but cannot send files nor receive them and also cannot pair with

Igor's solution is the one that worked for me. My channel was set to
Automatic, 11. I logged in to my router and changed it to Manual, 10.
Then deleted the existing connection from Network Manager and found and
reconnected to my router. And I guess I will live happily everafter.

You have great potential with this software to usurp Microsoft and aid in
secure computing but having to be a 'geek' to understand anything is
suicidal.
