When I click the Twinkle icon, it starts, but is completely invisible.
I can see the Twinkle process with 'top'.
No icon on the desktop (like bug #378155), I can only kill the process.

I'm sorry, but I'm not able to reproduce the problem again. So, my
workaround could be totally unrelated to the problem.

Hi, I have the same problem with 9.04 (Jaunty 64 bit = 2.6.28-11) on a Dell XPS
M1330, with the internal Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter
(rev 22).
The same SD cards work perfectly on an external USB reader. I didn't have any
problem on Intrepid 32 bit.

OK, I have setup the ppa and upgraded the Amarok package.
It is complaining heavily about a few modules at startup (Librivox,
Lyricwiki), probably not related to our case.
And the result is the same, negative.
The sshfs mount is still not declared in HAL, Amarok uses Solid to
detect devices, Sol

I did a compile from SVN, including that fix.
And the problem remains the same.
The ipod-convenience package does the fuse/sshfs mount, but that mount
is not declared/seen by HAL, so Amarok still does not check it, so no
iPod Touch/iPhone is seen by Amarok.

I have Kopete (0.70.0) on my Jaunty and when I get a message from an Emesene
(1.0.1) client it crash.
The other person can see my messages if I send them.
I tried with only one person because noone use emesene but if he use
this clien when send me messages kopete crashes, if
Ubuntu 7.10 installs gracefully under VMware, and under Xen on CentOS 5.

and using virt-manager with no difficulty. Unfortunately, I cannot
install the Ubuntu 7.10 desktop amd64, i386, or alternate-amd64 systems

I resolved the problem on my computer. It was an interaction with
metacity, linked to the /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager key.
If it is true then some visuals effects are done without compiz, but it
has to be set to false to remove my problems.
The question is : where is the bug ?

I tried learning to package, spent about 6 hours on libgpod, but I guess
that packaging a new lib version is not the best way to go as an initial
trial.

RC2 is now out, and is supposed to be converted into the release.
Please, please, do not let Jaunty be without it, and give us the
opportunity to backport it in Intrepid, at least ourselves.

the new gnome-power-manager in -updates fixes the last OSD issue on my
Dell Precision M65. So all loks good to me.
I expect my Dell Precision M4300 to react the same way. If not, I'll
report back once tested.
