Alright, I have added the ppa to my ubuntu 9.10 by,
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa
sudo apt-get update
So, now I need to install something from this PPA?

no avail. I still have no sound from the computer's speakers, barely audible
sound from headphones, and limited sound with a pair of external speakers

There is no sound while using Karmic on my Tecra M7. I have already
visited and followed instructions on the Karmic Caveat wiki page for
