tried a clean 15.04 first but ran into a few issues installing/booting and

both the 'double resume' issue and the block of corrupt video for mouse pointer
are present in rc8.
the mouse pointer is fine in 3.13.

well that was fun.
with the 4.1 kernel and the proprietary drivers i was trapped in cli. much fun
there.
i disabled the proprietary drivers, including the amd microcode that i
forgot i enabled. after which is still had no luck with the 4.1 kernel.
i did however boot just fine with the 3.13
I'm thinking the issue is with the microcode driver, i will test again
to see.

make -jX is failing for me because that file is missing:

across more than one) are symlinks but the targets are non-existent. The
targets are actually the content of what the files should be.
Use nautilus or whatever file explorer your using, go to the broken file
directory, and try

i don't think it's the kernel after all. i just tested the previous
3.13.0-48 kernel and the issue is still present. any ideas on what to
check?

first resume fails after suspend
To manage
same result with rc6 as with rc4. the wireless network resumes but the
system suspends immediately the first time, then the second it resumes
normally. I did notice that with the 4.1 kernels when resume is final;y
successful the pointer is temporarily replaced by a square of
multicoloured pixels,

Ever since I upgraded from 14.04 through to 15.04 I have had an issue
resuming from suspend. The login pops up for a second and then the
computer suspends again. Waking a second time resume is successful.
With kernel 3.13.0 wifi was typically 'broken' upon resume with the
