Yes, *please* backport this to 12.04.
By the way there was a workaround that allowed proxy authentication to
work with https in the old version, but unfortunately this will break
once the fix ships (not surprising, since it shamelessly abuses the
overly permissive URI parser in apt):
Also confirmed that this still happens on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.
Note that this is a *security issue*. When I lock my screen I expect all
information to be hidden. Now the name of the document I'm working on or
the subject of an email is still visible.

I also have this problem. Sometimes I do get the menu for the main
window though, I think it happens when the system has just booted and
