This is happening to me as well.
Today I tried to install starDict package from software center, it required the
installation of some other packages which were not signed.
An alert informed me about that, but there was no option to proceed anyway, the
only one was to cancel the installation.

same problem even using this rc7 kernel ...
(I had to edit menu.lst by hand because update grub refuses to add a
xen kernel to a non xen host)

A quick workaround which worked for me is to install the kernel from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.36-rc5-maverick/
kslowd is kworker in that version and it works much more better, no more
hangs.

When I reported this bug first, I didn't know very well how bug worked.

Hi I have exactly the same laptop and managed to both cards work. But
what I manage to do is just a super hack workaround, the problem is not
solved.
