Jaunty that freezed my system once a day. When I upgraded to Karmic my

I have the same problem on my laptop. A get a 1-2 sec glitch when I resize or
maximize a window. I also get a 1 sec glitch on popup menus. All this seem to
pick the CPU.
I've attached my laptops configuration. Please let me know if you'd like some

I have a similar experience on Ubuntu 8.04.
I've attached the debug log. The freeze happened on 13:55:48.
This only happens when Pidgin is set to auto-connect on start up.
When I type pidgin -n it always works fine.
