I am getting this same crash at start up. Following the crash, the
UnuntuOne notifier merely states, Trying to establish connection,
which does not ever happen. The crash and failure to connect began on
25 Aug and continues today, Aug 26, following the updated UbuntuOne
packages being installed.

Well, then I am confused, as well. I have installed GRAMPS from the
repositories in Lucid and Synaptic shows it as GRAMPS version 3.1.3-1
having been installed. That still is not working for me, after doing
all the latest updates available for Lucid. Am I using some version not

I installed GRAMPS, using Synaptic, in Kubuntu 10.04 Alpha 2. The error
and error message appear, the first time trying to open GRAMPS. I then
removed GRAMPS and reinstalled, however the same error occurs.

leaves me without the fax capability. Likewise, using system-config-
printer, I do not have the HP utilities nor the printer showing in with
HPLIP Status Service. Removed the printer again and reinstalled using
hp-setup,

The fax drivers are still missing in Kubuntu Karmic 9.10 (64 bit) final
release. I just did a fresh install of final, downloaded today, and the
same issue exists. No fax driver can be found!

I've having an issue with my internal SATA DVD drive with Kubuntu 9.10
Alpha 2.. The same issue existed with Alpha 1. I have Karmic on two
computers here...one is fine, with a different brand of DVD drive.
The drive is recognized and identified in KInfoCenter and I can use

Yes, I can reinstall Jaunty and the drive works fine with the same
media. The media is a backup of my folders in Home, which I use with a
reinstall (although I have tried other disks, as well). Everything
works fine with Karmic on another machine, with a different brand of DVD
drive, using the
