Similar problem on vivid (15.04). When grub goes to probe a Fedora partition I have on /dev/sdb4, the process grub-mount takes 100% of CPU. The following sequence of commands takes 29 seconds to complete with the process grub-mount taking all the CPU: /usr/bin/grub-mount /dev/sdb4
