original report. But the user experience can still be improved a lot

probably download the osm file on its own and compile it. Maybe the
user should be warned about the requirements in bandwidth,
The entire dataset is huge, many GB. And it's constantly changing. (see
the cloudmade per-country weekly/monthly extracts)
So the user will always have to download their local subset and
compile it as needed.
