Sorry, I have to disagree with the above statement. Once partitions are
set, they can indeed be changed. I've done this before using GParted,
making all kinds of changes to partitions.

Given the comments on this thread, I suppose this bug / proposed change
won't make it out of triage. If it won't be changed, then perhaps a
dialog box should be added to ask the user if they are sure they want to
proceed, similar to how the do-release-upgrade dialog gives the warning
that the

think clicking on it will bring back old data, which it can't

Notice that upon clicking Install Now button and the timezone map
appears the following things happen:
* (x) on the top left of the window disappears
* quit button disappears
* log-out shutdown menu items in the top right system cog disappear
Thus reinforcing that one cannot go back beyond this
Rereading the full bug report again, I don't see anything suggesting a reason
why you'd think you need or want to go back.
There is no change in behaviour, this was the case since a long time ago, when
ubiquity installer first moved partitioning questions to the front (Karmic?! my

At partitioning i select something, then click next.
This doesn't sound right, as we do not have a button labelled next.
And if partitioning is final the button should read Install Now. If
that is not the case, please open a separate bug describing how you go
there.

I'm setting this to won't fix, as we really do not support at the moment
going back and repartitioning after we have started the background
installation tasks. There are no plan to implement cancelling
installation and restart it, as (a) it will be very complex to do and
(b) most installations
Fabio, I agree with Jackson here. This is intended. Once you mess with
your partitions, they are set. You cannot go back and mess with them
again. If you made a mistake, at this point you would need to abort the
install and then try again. But the partitions are already changed, so

I'm going to mark this invalid, as this is intended behavoir. Again, as
you can see in your screenshots, it's copying files to your new
partition -- you can't go back now and change it without causing havoc
to your disk.

yes, but I can quit it on the subsequent steps, so i cannot undrstand why
there's no way to go back and redo the partitionment.

Hallo
At partitioning i select something, then click next.
Ubiquity go to timezone selection page, but the back button is and still
grayed out.
- So there-s no way to change the partition settings.
+ So there-s no way to change the partition settings without quit
it's only confirmed when it affects someone else.

i believe this bug is invalid as after that point partitions are made
and the install starts, you cannot just go back.
