i know that is no the most professional way but i solved the issue in
this way:
1. Cleaning using two ways command.
sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get update
2. dpkg --configure -a
3. apt-get install -f

Stalls while preconfiguring packages
To manage notifications about this bu
I have two desktops that stop updating. On step (1) above, update-
manager stalls. I open a new terminal, but don't know how to do step
(2) unselect bus. Can someone please explain how to do steps 2 thru 5?
If I can't fix this, can I wait a few days and try running the updater
(hoping it's fixed

Restarted the manager without sudo, ticked off the ibus update, kept getting

I selected and installed groups of related files (vim, python, desktop,
etc), leaving at the end those related to the linux kernel and headers.
Finally I managed to install everything and now my system is up to date.
