Yep I have this problem - very frustrasting that the 13.04 install can't handle this nicely. Resorted to the boot-repair utility on the linux- secure disk (formally ubuntu secure). This got the system booting but left this error which occurred everytime I installed something. The dirty hack

I had the same problem, and I went to freenode, #ubuntu and asked for help. It seems the postinstall script just fails at cleaning up. A dirty quickfix is to open grub-efi-amd64.postinst in /var/lib/dpkg/info/ with a text editor as root and adding exit 0 right after 'set -e' in the top of the
