Fixed in the new Inkscape uploaded to Hardy. Most of the utility
dialogs are now implemented as docked panes, so this is no longer an
issue.

That looks like an inkscape bug, if the widget has to be on top it
should be transient for the other dialog

I tried it on an x86 Gutsy system. We should investigate if it got fixed or
that the circumstances are different.
I might try it with metacity (most of the time I run openbox).

I tried it this way and could not reproduce (i.e., the Fill&Stroke
Dialog appears properly after going in Fullscreen Mode).

2. Put the window in fullscreen mode (e.g., by hitting F11).
3. Bring up the Fill and Stroke dialog (e.g., by hitting Ctrl+Shift+F).
4. Observe that the dialog does not appear.
5. Go out of fullscreen mode (e.g., by hitting F11 again).
6. Observe that the Fil
Thanks for reporting this bug, this issue belongs to inkscape.
I was not able to reproduce it using latest Gutsy x86 inkscape (both with
openbox and metacity).
Please provide more information how to reproduce this bug.
