Despite this, so your problem and hardware may be tracked, could you please
file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the following in a terminal
when installing the latest 14.04.1 kernel 3.14.0-43-generic the internal
keyboard of lg p1 works (didnt work before update). So it seems this bug
has been resolved at least for 14.04

No, the problem persists, even after upgrading to the latest kernel. The
last version of Ubuntu and its derivatives that worked fine was 12.04.

I used 12.04 for a year, and everything worked fine. The problems
started in version 13.10 onwards. I hope that helps. If you want, I can
run any live cd/dvd and post any logs that are required.
The popping sound issue that i have reported has existed in all Ubuntu
