It also gives me the hard freeze in the live cd session, in Feisty I dealt with
it by blacklisting the driver and using ndiswrapper.
But no solution yet?

nope, the rtl8187 driver will not work on a rtl8180 device.
The rtl8187 driver is not a replacement of the rtl818x driver, as you will see
from http://rtl-wifi.sourceforge.net/wiki
Need the rtl818x driver, which was in 2.6.20, but missing from 2.6.22

rtl8187 and rtl818x are different drivers.
I will try the rtl8187 driver in place of the rtl818x driver to see if
that works.

sub directory containing the rtl wireless drives and other important
drives is missing.
Side note: It doesn't seem like bug reports are the way to communicate
with developers. Should I be doing this through a developer channel?
