I have to back-up on my statement because installation is misleading ; I
investigated the bug on Internet and found the fix ; I had to remove the
package xserver-xgl though not described by the installator as incompatible
with driver radeon as provided with package
Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) and
X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to the bug report as individual
uncompressed file attachments using the Attachment: box below. Could
you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg
autodetect
Sorry for being late in answering you question :
This driver is still buggy whatever ati or radeon setting I use in
xorg.conf :
- without compiz it slows down reaction of desktop,
- with compiz it crashes KDE session.
Consequently I have to go back for fglrx driver (8.37.6) not working
with
