I have the same problem, two dialogs on autologin, zero without autologin.
libpam_keyring (or whatever it's called, we're all talking about the same...)
works if I don't use autologin.
I guess the problem is that if no password is entered, the keyring cannot be
opened. That's why gdm needs to
libpam_keyring is not used in the autologin case so that's not a bug due
to it there

With libpam-gnome-keyring installed, I have to put my password in twice.
One dialogue is for libpam, the other is for gnome-keyring. This is
double the number of passwords I used to have to enter.

Bruce, when you comment on a bug it's polite to subscribe so people can
reply to you. When do you have to enter your password twice? Do you use
autologin?

Could you attach your /etc/pam.d/gdm-autologin to the bug? I didn't
patch the Ubuntu one because it was asking for an extra password so you
shouldn't get pam-keyring used at all on Ubuntu when using autologin at
the moment. Are you sure you didn't change your configuration?

libpam-keyring
I haven't customised this file, but here it is.
I can try reconfiguring the package.

I am using libpam-keyring, not pam-keyring. I'll try to get a screenshot
today.

I'm not sure the dialog belong to pam-keyring, could you provide me a
screenshot because I've never seen a such message.
pam-keyring is quite old and not maintained, maybe you should try the
libpam-keyring package instead

As expected, GDM logins automatically the correct user. However libpam-
