gtk.css incorrectly modified

Just to add more information about the true source of this error...
It's due to gtk-theme-config - on using it, it overwrites
~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css, and this is where the errors are coming from.
I have confirmed that using gtk-theme-config after editing gtk.css to

I had the same issue, with a different theme. But I noticed that the
locations in gtk.css were identical, so I searched for all instances of
gtk.css on my computer.
~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css
had some errors in it for me, and I assume yours will be the same. Six
