Wow, you’re observing several different issues it seems (none of which
I’ve experienced myself, unfortunately).
Regarding that last comment: where you typing on the OSK or with a
physical keyboard connected, when the screen dimmed? That one would be
worth a separate bug report at
The backlight dimming is confusing because it dimmed while I was typing
comment 12 and did not undim while I kept typing, I had to tap the
background outside the box then resume typing.. So it is not clear how
important the dimming in the first report is.

The original problem happened last night, working without the screen
protector.. I was displaying. https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-
devices-system-image in portrait and tried to scroll down ( without
pinch zooming) I say down, I swiped up to see the bottom ofthe list.
Nowt happened when I
Not sure if this is related.
Today I closed a tab which vanished, but the browser locked up.. Switching back
to it from the app menu did not help.. I had to stop it and restart it.. It
restarted with the closed tab reinstated, which then closed normally.

Rotating the tablet half worked.. The locked up browser rotated but did
not resize.. I think Mir does the rotating, and webbrowser redraws when
it is told.. I think Webbrowser was not listening, just as it was not
listening to me tapping the other tabs

The fault appeared about 16:20 ; I killed the browser at 16:21

I just smoke-tested pinch-to-zoom on various websites on my M10, and I
must admit it’s not very responsive, sometimes it takes a few attempts
to get it to react. However I’ve never seen the browser become
unresponsive. I wonder if the screen protector is to blame…

Like I say, it's rare enough that I can't be dogmattic, but I do feel
that a two-finger-stretch to enlarge the view (zoom) is probably the.
Culprit.. I notice that this seems not to actually zoom, so I try again,
unsuccessfully, then notice that I cannot scroll,. Change tabs, select
anything at
Thanks for the report Bob!
Could you please elaborate on what exactly seems to trigger the issue, and what
you mean exactly by "unresponsive"? A list of steps that reliably trigger the
bug would be ideal to help us reproduce and investigate the issue. Thanks!
