Maximilian, which alexandria version did you try in Hardy? The one in the
repository is (unfortunately) still 0.6.1, whereas we have just released
version 0.6.3. You can find packages (also for Hardy) in our PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~alexandria-team/+archive.
We are trying to get 0.6.3
thank you. it was 0.6.1 from the repository. manually installed 0.6.2
and 0.6.3 work both fine in hardy and gutsy.

The problem is a bug in the libamazon-ruby package - update it to
libamazon-ruby 0.9.2 works definitively..
+1 updateing it for Hardy.

It appears this is fixed in version 0.6.2b1 of Alexandria. This however
will not be updated for Gutsy as it is not a security issue.
