I had the same symptoms than the ones reported above by Janne and Raquel for a Xubuntu 22.04 Live DVD: - I first checked the iso file (checksum ok) => I got "Failed to start Ubuntu Live CD installer" after ~15 minutes, then again after ~15 minutes more I got an almost frozen install Desktop

Kubuntu 21.04 I wrote the ISO to a couple of DVD-RW. I tested the discs on 2 other machines, completely different motherboards, CPUs, DVD drivers. One of them says [FAILED] Failed to start Snap Daemon.Card State... submit kernel crash signature [FAILED] Failed to start Ubuntu live CD installer.
