Warmask, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Hardy desktop reached EOL on May 12, 2011. Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases We were wondering if this is still an issue on a supported release? If so, can you

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. There are one of two ways you should be able to test: 1) If you are comfortable

I had the same issue hit my system when I used the updater to upgrade to HH. When I tried to reboot, it couldn't find the SATA drive. I had to add pci=nomsi to the boot parameters in order to get the system running. Then I had to add the same to the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. A flaw like this

I just tried the distribution release. I was hoping this bug would be fixed by now, but it I am still getting the same problem with the 'Live' installation. I have tried the alternate CD but am having a problem with that too. After I select 'Install' it won't go any further than a blank screen.

Hi Warmask, I'm also curious if you've tried installing from the Alternate CD installer and run into the same issue. This may not be a kernel bug but rather an issue with Ubiquity which is the Live CD installer. I'd like to try and narrow things down a bit. Thanks. -- Hardy A6: Not detecting
