Confirming that too. But an other workaround: Installing the scim package, which installed the im-switch package. This also removes the crash each time kdm4 gets loaded. So it seams that it fixes some dependency. -- KDE4 is somehow slow after upgrade to hardy

Yes it seems that removing scim-bridge-agent, scim-bridge-agent-qt and scim-bridge-agent-qt4 solved the problem. Apps are starting fast again and the error messages in the comment above are not shown again. A friend of mine had the same problem and on his system removing those packages solved the
