Thanx for taking the time for me. Here are the results of the same.

It doesn't give any error output

Please attach the file ~/.jigdo-lite which I guess will be
/home/shirish/.jigdo-lite in your case. After you have attached this
file, please tell me if jigdo-lite

This is a problem with opendns.com. If I were you, I'd just ditch them.
If you want to spend the energy you can try to find out exactly where
the problem is with them and try to get them to fix it. opendns.com is
a solution only for websurfing and a bad one at that. Any other web
activity will
please do an sudo rgrep 1.10.2 /etc for me and post the result here.
