I had this problem with the latest open office 3.0.1
I tried for an hour to get Impress to display the correct resolution on
the projector output. It always appeared cropped. Finally, I realized
that I have to start openoffice on the virtual screen that is the lowest
resolution, then when I go
Marking as Fix Released as Sid claims this problem has been fixed in
1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1. Please reopen if this is not the case.

I just tried it... and the resolution of the presentation is fine if impress
is started *before*
the resolution of the display is changed.
Ummm... I think I misspoke above. Here's (hopefully with more clarity)
what works, and what doesn't.
The OOo presentation works okay, if you
(1) Make
Aweome... looks like this bug is fixed in the latest updates today...
OpenOffice version: 2.4.1 (openoffice.org-core 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1).

yep - this is for Hardy.
BTW: starting impress first is not a solution - as Impress sometimes
crashes on presentations with large pictures/video - and need to be
restarted.
