Still can't install TRA on karmic amd64. Neither wine1.1.31 which comes with
karmic, nor wine 1.1.33 from PPA works.
Installation errors out complaining about not having inserted TRA CD...

Correct, I see you've got confirmed for the bug. Hope it gets sorted as having
a legal copy and having to use a nocd crack goes against the grain.

Thanks Scott, what do I do, add the deb for ppa to my sources list. Does
this give me rc1 for wine is that what you want me to do. Bit of a noob
with wine not sure what you need me to do. Could tell me exactly what I
need to do to test this.

Ok got the RC1 installed via upgrade. Uninstalled TRA. First copied
tra.exe nocd version to safe location. Then reinstalled TRA
Orignal tra.exe looks for the dvd, finds it, tries to start then crashes
as before.
The tra.exe nocd version works fine.

If the copy protection is doing any 16 bit stuff, then it won't work in
a 64 bit system using 32 bit libraries at the moment. This has
something to do with the current status of vm86.
I do have one possible fix that I would like you to test, however,
involving build-depending on libx86-dev. Let
Please test the Hardy package in the Wineteam PPA here:
