I did a more thorough research on this bug. It seems that this bug stays
around for some years now and is many times reported upstream. Here are

I experience the same problem, but for Persian language (which is displayed
wrongly as Farsi language in OOo) that uses the same symbols as Arabic.
But it seems that this problem is resolved for Arabic but remains for Persian.
Because when I change the paragraph language (from the status bar)
