This may not be a bug. I found a solution on the web. The fix was to
run the following 4 commands:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
I was supposed to see a file to delete at this point but I did not so I
just ran the final command.

The problem with this is that for some reason you .deb packages are corrupted,
please:
a) paste your sources.list
b) remove your apt cache (rm /var/cache/apt/archives/)
