For Edubuntu 9.10 this isn't an issue as we have removed all Edubuntu
theming for GDM. GDM has changed the way it does themes dramatically and
we didn't have time to make all the necessary artwork changes. We will
revisit this during the 10.04 cycle and make sure we have the login user
list.

I appreciate the update, that make sense to me. Spending time elsewhere on
Edubuntu seems like time better spent than making a unique gdm version for
it.

This is still a bug in Jaunty. The cause is apparently that the
/usr/share/edubuntu-artwork/gdm/gdm-cdd.conf file is now out of sync
with the /etc/gdm/gdm.conf file in some of its defaults, and gdmsetup
appears to largely ignore the former. The fix, in such a case, would be

unexpected behavior for an uninformed installer since there was nothing that
would have made me think that the face browser was not available with the

Thank you for leading me toward that issue. On the Login Window PreferencesI
went to the Local tab and changed the style to Plain with face browser.
When I log out and log back in now I can see all the users again in the list.
So I would consider this as a solution to my problem. I
I see the little edubuntu symbol and I have the edubuntu themes
available. Is there other artwork that I am supposed to see?

Human List Login User list is empty and I can't seem to add back the
users that I have set up for the system to this login list. I like this
login window so I want to have the user names show
